The Smiths
Eponymous (1984)
It was too sedate for many months but now occasionally haunts me. I really don't know and I really don't care.
6/10
Meat is Murder (1985)
Playful, more cheerful than the first, I like it though not to excess. I want the one I can't have, but that joke isn't funny anymore.
7/10
The Queen is Dead (1986)
Oh well, enough said.
9/10
Louder than Bombs (1987)
1987. Apparently these are B-sides and singles? But it's my current favourite. I left the south... I'll never make that mistake again.
9/10
Strangeways, Here We Come (1987)
Is it just me, or do The Beatles' 'Dear Prudence', The Smiths' 'Death of a Disco Dancer', and LCD Soundsystem's 'Never as Tired as When I'm Waking up' all have something in common? Can't yet judge more.
